Who I Work With

At BTL Fitness, I work with people  who want to feel stronger, move better, and stay independent. Whether you’re dealing with past injuries, managing age-related changes, or just want to feel more confident in your body again.  I’m here to help.

I train clients across Auckland’s North Shore, including Birkenhead, Albany Milford Takapuna, offering one-on-one  personal training, small group   sessions, and gentle exercise classes. All sessions are designed to be safe, supportive, and tailored to your goals , with a bit of fun thrown in.

This isn’t a gym. There’s no pressure, no mirrors, and no judgment. Just practical, realistic training that fits your life and helps you keep doing the things you enjoy.

Why I Do It

I grew up in the ’60s, ’70s, and ’80s in a neighbourhood packed with kids, bikes, and just about every sport you could imagine – all within walking distance. Looking back, I never really stood a chance… health, fitness, and sport have always been part of my life.

That said, my own path hasn’t been smooth. Over the last 40+ years I’ve faced my share of setbacks – injuries, poor choices, and health issues that knocked me around. But those challenges gave me something valuable: a deep understanding of how movement, mindset, and healthy habits can turn things around – even later in life.

That’s why I’m so passionate about helping others in their 50s, 60s and beyond. I know how much difference it can make to have someone in your corner who gets it. My approach is simple: create a space where you feel safe, supported, and encouraged to reach your full potential – whatever that looks like for you.

I hold New Zealand Certificates in Exercise (Levels 4 and 5), along with the NZIHF Certificates in Personal Training and Fitness Leadership. I’ve completed the Hyrox365 Foundation Course, and I’m First Aid and CPR certified, as well as REPS registered, so you can be confident you’re in good hands.

Whether your goal is to keep up with the grandkids, improve balance and strength, or just feel better in your own skin, we’ll take it one step at a time, together.
